I bought 8lbs of meat today(Sun) and will be cooking it on Wednesday. How do I store it?

Cut it in to smaller sections(1lb or so ) and wrap with aluminum foil.. then freeze until Tuesday Night.. Bring it down from the freezer and into the fridge at that point and it should thaw(better in smaller packages than 1 big one) for Wednesday.
